Day 9!

First of all let me say this is going to be quick and to the point. No pics or details - SORRY! We passed up Fort Nelson today because it was 2:30 in the afternoon when we got there and we decided since it was a pretty sunny day and snow is expected tomorrow we should go as far as we could. We ended up at Northern Rockies Lodge about 9 miles past Muncho Lake. A total of about 150 miles give or take past Fort Nelson. It is beautiful here but expensive, b/c its the only thing around for miles. No wireless Internet, the only access is a computer in the lobby that is $5.00 for the first 10 minutes + .25 each addtn'l min. It was a spectacular drive today with lost of great views. We saw 1 Bull Moose (couldn't get a pic) and 2 Link's that were playing in the snow (couldn't get a pic). The last 150 miles was through the northern Rockies and there was some stunning views. We got lots of pics and I will upload those next time we have FREE wireless Internet. We haven't decided where we are going to try to get to tomorrow, it will depend on the snow fore casted and what the roads are like the rest of the way through the Rockies.

Good night all, we are off to eat our expensive dinner and order and prepay for our expensive breakfast!

  1. We're following you on the map of Alaska that Barbara and Howard have. We'll be anxious to see some more pics when you get a chance. It's nearly 11:00 p.m. here, and we're on the way to bed. We had 12 people here for dinner at Barb and Howard's, and had a great visit with more of the family (Peggy and Pruitt, and Barbara's daughter Sandra and her family, plus Barbara and Howard's friends from Pennsylvania who are also here, but leaving in the morning. We will probably start home on Monday, and more than likely get there sometime late on Tuesday - just going to take our time. Love you lots! Mom and Bryant
