Sad news!

Well, we took our dog Oscar to the Vet this afternoon and found out that the tumors he has are most likely cancerous. We have elected to have Oscar put down instead of costly surgery that would only prolong his life for a likely short time. He seems to be feeling O.K. for now so we plan to wait a couple of weeks at this point. We're not ready just yet to say good bye. We plan to take him up to the Bowers family property in Telico and bury him, so it will be a day long process. As most of you know, we have been struggling for a while with trying to find someone to take Oscar when we move and had actually had some friends say they were willing to take him, but I guess we don't have to worry about that anymore. I can't help but think that this is part of God's plan to work things out for our moving away.

I have always been one to think it crazy for people to get all worked up over losing their pet, but when faced with it myself I have to say this is a very sad time in our lives. While this in no way compares to the lose of a family member or close friend, it is still difficult.

May God bless each of you!

Are you still reading our blog?

Well, we are still here. Are you? Sorry it has been so long since my last post. There's not really been much to share. The house is still for sale, the boat is still for sale and the job hunt is still up in the air. We hope to start hearing more after tomorrow. Princess starts their interviewing process on the 15th, so I guess we will wait and see. We will let you know more when we know.

Stayed tuned. Hopefully it will not be so long before the next post.

Christmas Day

Better late than never - right?

Christmas Day was great. We had an enjoyable day with the Bowers family at Aunt Anita's and Uncle Allen's house. The only thing that would have made the day better is if David and Jennifer had been there. We did get to talk to them on the phone though. I guess that was just a little taste of what it will be like next year when Kevin and I are not there (hopefully things will work out and we will be in Alaska). I am posting a couple of pictures from the day, hope you enjoy.

Well the New Year has begun and we look forward to new beginnings in our lives. We hope you will stay tuned to up and coming information on our move. We do hope to hear something this week or next about the job situation with Aramark and Princess and we let you all know as soon as we find out. Your prayers are appreciated, especially with the sale of our house. We have had a few showings, people love the house but are not thrilled with the neighborhood. We are just praying the right person is going to come along soon.

Have a blessed New Year!
