After spending the night with Aunt Libby last night we got up to a delicious home cooked breakfast of eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy. Thanks Libby, it was really good. We then headed out to Johnson City to the birthday party for
Jacey and Brianna. We had a great time eating pizza and cake! Speaking of cake, they were hand made by
Bubba's sister Shannon and they were amazing. She really
has a terrific talent. Again, there are
technical difficulties preventing me form uploading pictures, so they will come later. Brie had a princess castle one and
Jacey's was a little mermaid one. After a tearful good bye with my sister and the girls we made one last pit stop at Pal's. For those of you not from the
Tri-
Cities area, Pal's is the BEST fast food restaurant on the planet.

After a brief stop at Turkey Creek in Knoxville, we were off to Nashville. Finally headed in the right direction. We arrived at Robin and Chad's (K's sister and husband) around 6:30. They cooked us an excellent dinner of black
Angus top sirloin kabobs, veggie kabobs, baked potatoes and garlic cheese toast. For dessert Robin made a Chocolate Chip Pound Cake - thank you Martha Rhoton for passing on the recipe. We are now having a nice evening of relaxing and chit-chatting.
By the way, the beeping , beeping, beeping, beeping. . . . finally stopped sometime today prior to 3:15 - thank goodness!
Tomorrow we are off to Kansas City to stay with some sweet friends that have agreed to take us poor souls in for the night.
Have a great and safe trip, sis. Love you. -Rob
ReplyDeleteGlad the beeping, beeping, beeping, beeping is over! Maybe the border patrol will leave you alone. Sounds like things are going great so far. Have a safe drive tomorrow. I love you, Sissa
ReplyDeleteI uploaded pictures of the girls and their cakes to my facebook. - Melissa
ReplyDeleteWe missed you at church this morning. It seemed empty without you both!
ReplyDeleteGreat to hear about your weekend and enjoyed the beeping, beeping, beeping story! Also glad that you girls got the packing gene from Daddy - I only had it for a short period of time while packing the car when we all went to DC...remember? Daddy came in a unpacked the perfectly packed car and repacked it exactly the same way I had packed it!!! He just had to do it! Anyway, Bryant and I are praying for a very safe and uneventful trip for you. Love, Mom
