Pictures

This a Ptarmigan - Alaska State Bird. They grow white feathers in the winter so they blend in with the snow and hid more easily. This one is starting to grow its dark feathers back. A sign that spring and summer are right around the corner.

There she is - Denali!

A red fox trotting down the road in Healy. Unfortunately this is the best picture we could get. We followed it down the road a little ways, it didn't seem to notice it was a little out of place.

  1. I think I actually saw the hiway in one of the pictures. It looked like maybe there was not even any snow on it. I am glad that you all are actually getting to live out your dreams now while you are young, but boy, I sure do miss you. Love, Mom Bowers

  2. Jed LOVES red foxes. If you are able to snap any more pictures, he will love seeing them. He has a red fox stuffed animal from the zoo he carries around, and we just got a red fox print for him.

  3. Jed says, "Wow! Did she take that just for me?" He also asks, "How are you doing? Do you know anything about red foxes?"
